Huynh, Ph.D. (Tuh Win) Principal Investigator I received my Ph.D. in neuroscience from New York University in New York, NY in 2015 where I studied the role of protein synthesis in learning and memory in the laboratory of Dr. Eric Klann. Then, I trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine in the laboratory of Dr. Conor Liston where I used calcium imaging to study circuit mechanisms of learning and memory. Prior to joining the Department of Biochemistry at Midwestern University in 2020, I was an adjunct assistant professor at Hunter College in New York City where I taught behavioral pharmacology. My laboratory uses behavioral and biochemical techniques to study the molecular mechanisms underlying chronic stress induced impairments of learning and memory. During my free time, you will find me with my family, which includes my wonderful partner, our three children and our mini-golden doodle. Their happiness is what motivates me, and thus I am an open and strong supporter of a healthy work life balance. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
